Students view images of families around the world and the food they eat in a week. They examine the similarities and differences in relation to different attributes, such as type of food, nutrition, cost, and quantity. Discussions of stereotype and diversity help students gain sensitivity to the strengths and needs of different people around the world.

Children will identify their state on a map, draw its flag, and discover facts about its government, landmarks, and natural resources. This versatile worksheet, designed for third and fourth graders, is a great framework for working on research, reading, and writing skills.

Martin Luther King Jr.’s message wasn’t exclusively about race. He also spoke about gender stereotypes, poverty, and privilege. Read books about black Americans  who were trailblazers. 


Choose and read a book about the many ways social justice can be sought. Then write a paragraph on your thoughts.
